Surrounded by science

As someone working towards their PhD, on a very literal level I am constantly surrounded by science. Everyday I go into work, where I spend hours working on experiments and interacting with other scientists. But I also believe that science surrounds all of us even outside of academic buildings, from sunlight reaching the earth to birding singing in the trees to the grass growing beneath our feet.
